  • World-Class Instructional Design and Assessment (WIDA) Consortium
    The WIDA Consortium is dedicated to providing educators with tools that assist them in meeting the needs of English language learners (ELLs). Research into best practice for ELLs supports the notion that students benefit when they have foundational literacy skills in their first language and when schools include the primary language and culture within classrooms.
  • Bilingual Education
    Sister organization of DLeNM, 2-Way CABE is an affiliate of the California Association for bilingual Education (CABE), and is dedicated to advocating for, and assisting with the planning and implementation of quality two-way bilingual immersion programs. It provides resources to assist school communities in California who wish to implement a two-way bilingual immersion program.
  • Center for Applied Linguistics
    The Center for Applied Linguistics works to improve communication through better understanding of language and culture. A number of valuable resources have been developed by CAL to assist communities in the design and implementation of their two-way immersion educational programs.
  • California Tomorrow
    California Tomorrow’s mission is to create a just and inclusive multiracial, multicultural, and multilingual society by promoting equal access to, and participation in major social, economic and educational resources and institutions, and embracing diversity as a great strength. Publications, research, and other services are available.
  • National Association for Bilingual Education
    The National Association for Bilingual Education provides research, advocacy resources, publications, etc. Find information here for NABE’s annual national bilingual conference.
  • Center for Research on Education, Diversity and Excellence
    CREDE is a federally funded research and development program focused on improving the education of students whose ability to reach their potential is challenged by language or cultural barriers, race, geographic location, or poverty.
  • Dual Language Education of New Mexico
    Resources for New Mexico school communities who are committed to the proper design and implementation of effective dual language programs. Resources include: information on new program institutes, critical institutes, La Cosecha annual dual language conference, and the Framework of Best Practices for Dual Language Programs in New Mexico.
  • Illinois Resource Center
    The Illinois Resource Center offers an on-line Dual Language Teacher Training Curriculum – Subscription required
  • Dr. Wayne Thomas and Dr. Virginia Collier
    A collection of significant on-going research and publications from Dr. Wayne Thomas and Dr. Virginia Collier.
  • National Association for Multicultural Education
    This site supports efforts in educational equity and social justice and provides resources for students and educators as well as valuable links to other sites.
  • CARLA
    The Center for Advanced Research on Language Acquisition (CARLA) is one of the U.S. Department of Education's Title VI National Language Resource Centers, whose role is to improve the nation's capacity to teach and learn foreign languages effectively.
